Community Services deeply appreciates the many individuals and groups who volunteer with our community events each year.
How You Can Help
Volunteers assist with a number of our programs. Emergency Aid responsibilities include stocking shelves, separating clothing, walking clients through the food pantry, and assisting with unloading any new deliveries. Volunteers may also help with Early Head Start or Senior Center events within the local communities we serve, including Oil City, Meadville, Titusville, and Cranberry, PA.
A Rewarding Experience
Volunteering is a fulfilling emotional experience for people of all ages. Community Services offers a wide variety of volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups who enjoy spending time with those in need. Our volunteers find that the relationships they develop through these experiences are meaningful and personally rewarding.
In addition, volunteers have an opportunity to learn new skills, earn school credit, gain professional expertise, and make new friends. Other benefits include:
- Gaining a stronger sense of community by serving and helping others
- Providing support while modeling proper etiquette, communication, and responsibility through these roles
- Open feedback and encouragement
- Using personal strengths within all volunteer roles and experiences
Your time spent volunteering with us can also be used to fulfill community service requirements, student service hours, or internship hours. If you're looking for a worthwhile way to give back to your local community, we invite you to come work with us!
Volunteers are needed for several events throughout the year. Please go to special events for more information about getting involved in a specific event!
Volunteer times can be arranged to accommodate schedules.
